Eguchi is a co-worker of both Yamaguchi Kumiko and Fujiyama Shizuka. He is the homeroom teacher of class 2-3. The student involved in the violence incident mentioned at the beginning of chapter one is from his class. He first debuts in chapter 2 of the manga and episode 1 of the anime.
